Description
Dolichothele exilis — Exilis Bronze Dwarf Tarantula
Small in stature, massive in personality. Dolichothele exilis, the Exilis Bronze Dwarf Tarantula, is a micro New World species that earns its keep through sheer webbing ambition. Given the chance, this little spider will transform its entire enclosure into an elaborate silk fortress — tunnels, trip lines, and hammocks included. It’s endlessly entertaining to watch and a standout display animal despite its compact size.
Hailing from Brazil, D. exilis sports a warm bronze-brown coloration with a velvety texture that catches the light beautifully. Fast-moving and curious, this species is best appreciated in a well-decorated enclosure where its webbing behavior can really shine. Provide cork bark, fake plants, or other anchor points and watch it go to work.
